BASIC FUNCTION
Operate offset duplicating machine capable of volume reproduction of typed, handwritten, printed, and photographic material.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
Under general supervision, set up and operate offset duplicating machine; make machine adjustments and alignments; price jobs. Detailed instructions are provided for any work of an exceptional nature.
TYPICAL WORK
Set up and operate offset duplicating machine to reproduce forms, memoranda, letterheads, manuals, pamphlets, and other materials in one or more colors;
Make machine adjustments and alignments to achieve clear, legible, and well-centered images; clean and oil offset and other types of duplicating machines and plate making equipment;
Price jobs per established charge back system;
Operate a collator; assemble, pad, and glue forms;
Package forms and supplies; mail or deliver duplicated materials; arrange and keep stock orderly; maintain production records and supply inventory;
May prepare paper, plastic, and metal master plates; may operate photo camera equipment and exposure frame in making negative or direct image masters;
May operate other duplicating and production equipment;
Perform related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of an offset duplicator operator course at a vocational-technical school OR six months of experience operating an offset duplicating machine or equivalent.
