Earn Type informational pages are provided as a historical reference tool for eligibility and rate information. If you have questions on how pay is processed in Workday, please contact the Integrated Service Center (ISC).
These pages display the earnings types that are used in the UW payroll system. Earnings types are used by UW Payroll and are generally initiated at the department level through the Online Payroll Update System (OPUS) or by use of the ETR (Exception Time Report) or the PTR (Positive Time Report).
The earnings tables will help you know:
- When to use a specific earnings type;
- How to calculate each earnings type;
- Which employee groups are eligible to use specific earnings types; and
- What form to use for submitting the hours for payment of each earnings type.
