Job Summary:
Applies a thorough knowledge of the needs of a business unit and knowledge of systems technology to identify and design improvements for computer based systems. Conducts operational and organizational studies on business units. Analyzes structure and flow of work through the unit and recommends changes to improve the business operations. Provides consultation to business unit management to determine solutions to business operations. Coordinates functional requirements of business unit and the technical solutions with system personnel to develop the most cost effective solution. Devises test plans, builds test data, and tests new or enhanced application functions. Develops and delivers training and operating procedures. May or may not be within the IT department/organization.

Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience in a relevant field of study and at least 3 -4 years of relevant experience in the business unit’s operation. Extensive experience in the business functions supported and some IT skill and knowledge.

Network Engineer

Job Summary:
Provides systems design, development, operational support and consulting for complex data or telecommunication networks. Designs, develops and installs communication systems. Provides expert consultation and customer service to the users of data and telecommunications network services and systems. Must exercise the best possible technical, business and communications skills and present to and work with a variety of executive and business solutions that enable radical improvements of institution-wide business processes using user-driven information based solutions. These solutions often employ the very latest complex technologies and use innovative electronic communications.

Senior Applications System Engineer – Enterprise-Wide Systems

Job Summary:
Responsible for leading a team which develops, implements, and supports large, complex enterprise-wide information systems working within a complex technical environment which includes client/server, mainframe, and Internet-based technologies. Assigns tasks and performs functional supervision over other technical staff members, but will act as the lead programmer/coordinator for the group and operate at a very high technical level, including directly performing many of the major complex tasks in the project. Projects have very wide campus visibility and very high expectations for highly successful systems on time and within budget. Creates, monitors and communicates project plans and ongoing status for the systems. Acts as primary liaison to client departments and other IT units.
