BASIC FUNCTION

Lead Health Unit Coordinator and other assigned staff, and perform the work of the Heath Unit Coordinator.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

Under general direction, regularly assign, instruct and check the work of others, train and orient staff, provide feedback on employee performance, as well as identify and resolve problems.

TYPICAL WORK

Participate in interviewing applicants;

Train and orient new employees and/or volunteers to department;

Provide feedback to supervisor for employee performance evaluations, corrective action plans and training plans;

Review and correct the work performed by others for compliance with established procedures;

Schedule emergency shift assignments;

Identify and resolve problems or unusual situations; recommend changes as necessary;

Monitor and evaluate policies and procedures to suggest operational changes;

Assists in the preparation and maintenance of schedules;

Perform the work of Health Unit Coordinator

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School graduation or equivalent AND Three years of Health Unit Coordinator experience.

Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
