Salary increases as of July 1, 2022

The following changes will be implemented effective July 1, 2022 and should be visible in Workday as of July 22, 2022 and reflected on July 25, 2022 paychecks:

Across-the-Board Increases

2% across-the-board increases for contract classified employees covered by the following collective bargaining agreements:

  • Inlandboatmen’s Union (IBU)
  • SEIU 1199NW HMC/ALNW
  • SEIU 1199NW UWMC-NW
  • WSNA UWMC-NW
  • WSNA UWMC-ML

3% across-the-board increases for contract classified employees covered by the following collective bargaining agreements:

  • SEIU 925
  • SEIU 1199NW Research/Hall Health
  • WFSE

3.25% across-the-board increases for classified non-union (CNU) employees.

Temporary hourly and Nonpermanent Intermittent job profiles will receive the same increases as the regular job profiles listed above. Regular employees will be placed on the new range at the same step as their current step. Employee PSDs will not be impacted.

All employees will be placed at a step on the new range that is closest to, but not under, their current step value.

Temporary hourly classified employees

Temporary hourly employees whose hourly rates fall below the new range minimum after the pay increases will be brought up to the minimum centrally by the Integrated Service Center. No departmental action is required.

Changes to premium pay rates

SEIU 1199NW HMC/ALNW Standby Pay:

Professional/Technical Bargaining Unit:

Standby Pay (for 0 to 30 hours per pay period) $5.00
Standby Pay (for hours over 30 per pay period) $7.00

Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist Bargaining Unit:

Standby Pay (for 0 to 30 hours per pay period) $5.00
Standby Pay (for hours over 30 per pay period) $7.00

WFSE HMC and UWMC EVS Custodians Weekend Premium:

Effective July 1, 2022, all hours worked on weekends (defined as Saturday and Sunday) by employees in the following classifications at HMC and UWMC-Montlake shall include a weekend pay premium of one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50): Custodian, Custodian lead, Custodian Supervisor 1, Custodian Supervisor 2.

Lump Sum Payments

WFSE: As of July 1, 2022, employees at or above .6 FTE in an active permanent appointment will receive $850; employees below .6 FTE in an active permanent appointment will receive $500.

SEIU 925: As of July 1, 2022, employees at or above .6 FTE in an active permanent appointment will receive $850; employees below .6 FTE in an active permanent appointment will receive $500.

SEIU 1199NW Research/Hall Health: As of July 1, 2022, employees at or above .6 FTE in an active permanent appointment will receive $850; employees below .6 FTE in an active permanent appointment will receive $425.

Other Represented Employees

IHME-SEIU 925. On July 1, 2022, the minimum salary for all titles listed in Appendix 1 will be increased by two percent (2%). Employees paid above the minimum salary will have their salary increased by two percent (2%).

Teamsters Print Plant. On July 1, 2022, all job classifications in Appendix A will be increased by 2%. Assistant Supervisor 5% above highest supervised or the employee’s salary, whichever is greater.
