Pro staff market range adjustments as of October 1, 2019

Effective October 1, 2019, market ranges for professional staff jobs will be adjusted based on the 2019 Professional Staff Salary Survey conducted by the Milliman consulting firm. These changes help keep the University’s pay structures competitive with the market. Details about the 2019 Professional Staff Salary Survey will be posted on the HR Compensation website, to include the executive summary, methods, survey findings and benchmark job descriptions.

How will these adjustments to minimum be processed in Workday?

Professional staff employees whose post-merit salary is below the October 1, 2019 mandatory market range minimums will have their salary increased to market minimum effective October 1, 2019 and the pay change will be reflected on the employees’ October 25, 2019 paycheck. The HR Compensation Office will send the list of employees to the Integrated Service Center to be loaded into Workday. No action is required at the unit level.

The HR Compensation Office continually audits for compliance with the mandatory minimums and works with departments and the ISC to process adjustments when needed.
