Pay increases for classified staff as of July 1, 2025

The following changes for classified jobs, effective July 1, 2025 should be visible in Workday as of July 21, 2025 and reflected on July 25, 2025 paychecks.
The UWHR Compensation office and the Workday HRP Application Management team will centrally manage the increases for impacted employees.
3% across-the-board increases for classified non-union (CNU) employees plus 2.5% across-the-board increases for CNU employees in the Registered Nurse 2, Registered Nurse 3, Registered Nurse 1 – Research, and Registered 2 – Research titles.
3% across-the-board increases for contract classified employees covered by the following collective bargaining agreements:
- SEIU 925
- WFSE
5.9% across-the-board increase for Teamsters 117 Campus Police Officers and WFSE Police Management Sergeants and Lieutenants.

Temporary Salary Increases
Effective July 1, 2025, temporary salary increases submitted through Workday must align with pay period start and end dates. TSIs for less than a full pay period but at least an hour should be requested through Workday (for campus) or Kronos (for med centers) timekeeping. TSIs requested through timekeeping, sometimes referred to as ‘daily TSIs’ are a set 5% of base pay whereas TSIs that last a full pay period or more are a minimum 5% of base pay.
A note regarding implementation: Employee movements (new hires, reclassifications, R&Rs, CEGP, FTE changes, and transfers) that have been processed prior to 7/1 but are effective on or after 7/1 will initially show the pre-7/1 rates in Workday. Corrections will be made by WMS/Application Management to reflect the 7/1 increases.
