UW – SEIU 1199NW RHH Negotiations Recap for Wednesday, August 17, 2022

Background
This recap details the second virtual session for the negotiation for the 2023-2025 collective bargaining agreement between the UW and SEIU 1199NW Research/Hall Health. Recaps are published online on the UW Labor Relations website.

Milliman Classified Staff Salary Study – UW Compensation presented, Milliman’s, a third-party Consulting firm, analysis of how the compensation for both healthcare and non-healthcare classified benchmark jobs compares to market. The analysis is based on salary data (actual data) from published Milliman surveys as well as a Higher Education Custom survey that Milliman conducted on behalf of the UW. UW Counter Proposals

Article 29-New Employee Orientation
In response to the Union’s initial proposal of a new article regarding New Employee Orientation, the Employer proposed adding language to the existing Article 29, New Employee Origination. The Employer agreed to most of the initial proposal language but had some edits to better align with how welcome day is currently being conducted.

The next UW & 1199NW RHH bargaining session is scheduled for August 25, 2022 and will be held virtually.
