Employee Onboarding: New tools and updated resources

While your there, take note of ONE UW– a new online orientation that introduces new employees to what they most need to know about beginning their new UW job. With content broken down by segments, new employees will find an interactive experience that allows them to keep track of all they have learned about working here and how to make the most out of their employment experience. Right now, there are three custom versions for new employees to choose from: Seattle, Bothell, and Tacoma. UW Medicine employees are required to attend a robust in-person orientation instead of using the online version.
But that’s not all! In-person orientations remain an essential component in welcoming and supporting new employees. Benefits orientation is almost every Monday and helps new employees take full advantage of their new benefits package. POD’s New Employee Orientation is for new staff on the Seattle campus and provides a great introduction to our larger community, University leadership and priorities, and the opportunity to meet other employees new to UW.
