UW & SEIU 925 Continuum College Negotiations Recap for November 25, 2025

Background

This recap details the twenty third session for the negotiation for the collective bargaining agreement between SEIU 925-Continuum College and UW. Recaps are published online on the UW Labor Relations website.

 

UW – Counter Proposals

Article: Non-Discrimination

In response to the Union, the Employer proposed changing reference to “Civil Rights Investigation Office” to “Civil Rights Compliance Office”.

Article: Financial Communication and Transparency

In response to the Union, the Employer proposed that the Employer would include information on revenue and spending across departments in the monthly published report.

Article- Performance Evaluations

In response to the Union, the Employer proposed language that the Employer would make available training opportunities for all managers and supervisors regarding the Employer’s performance evaluation program.

 

SEIU 925- Continuum College Counter Proposals

Article: Telework

In response to the Employer, the Union proposed to include language that hybrid telework is a practice at Continuum College.

Article: Compensation Wages and Other Pay Provisions

In response to the Employer, the Union proposed:

Bargaining unit employees over 30% behind market, which the Union has categorized as severely underpaid, receive a 15% market range adjustment to be split 5% year one, 5% year two, and 5% year three.

Bargaining unit employees between 20% and 29% behind market, which the Union categorized as moderately underpaid, receive a 9% market range adjustment to be split 3% year one, 3% year two, and 3% year three.

Bargaining unit employees between 5% and 19% behind market, which the Union categorized as slightly underpaid, receive a 4% market range adjustment to be split 1.33% year one, 1.33% year two, and 1.34% year three.

Bargaining unit employees between 0% and 5% behind market, which they categorize as aligned with market, receive a 0% market range adjustment.

Article- Performance Evaluations

In response to the Employer, the Union proposed language that the Employer would make available training opportunities for all managers and supervisors regarding the Employer’s performance evaluation program, and shall, upon request, share and discuss the contents of such training programs with the Union. Evaluators will be required to complete supervisor evaluator training and unconscious bias training.

The next UW & SEIU Continuum College bargaining session is scheduled for December 3, 2025, and will be held in person.
