Bargaining Update – UW Last, Best, and Final Delivered
On September 24, UW presented Teamsters with a comprehensive proposal that Teamsters’ membership voted to reject. The parties continued to discuss the open articles and UW reaffirmed its previous proposal as its last, best, and final offer on September 30. The parties were unable to reach agreement before October 1, the deadline by which contracts requesting State funding for the coming biennium must be ratified and submitted to the Office of Financial Management. Therefore, UW did not submit a ratified contract to OFM and will not receive funds to give raises in the new biennium.
