2022 Schedule

Tuesday, November 22, 2022, 12 – 1 p.m.
United Way of King County and Fred Hutch Cancer Center
Virtual via zoom, https://washington.zoom.us/j/93333269928

At United Way of King County, we mobilize resources to support our neighbors the best way we can. We work towards racial justice by transforming inequitable systems, to create a community where all people have homes, students graduate and families are financially stable.

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center unites comprehensive care and advanced research to provide the latest cancer treatment options and accelerate discoveries that prevent, treat and defeat cancer and infectious diseases worldwide.

In addition to bringing Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and Fred Hutch together as a single organization, we’ve strengthened our relationship with UW Medicine. While Fred Hutch is an independent, nonprofit organization, it will now also serve as the cancer program for UW Medicine. This unique relationship allows for enhanced care coordination with one of the world’s leading integrated health systems.

Wednesday, November 30, 2022, 12 – 1 p.m.
Heifer International
Virtual via zoom: https://washington.zoom.us/j/92039562033

At Heifer International, ending poverty begins with agriculture. We’re on a mission to end hunger and poverty in a sustainable way by supporting and investing alongside local farmers and their communities.

We work in 21 countries around the world alongside local farmers and business owners. We support farmers and their communities as they mobilize and envision their futures, provide training so they can improve the quantity and quality of the goods they produce, and connections to market to increase sales and incomes.

At Mercy Corps, we act as a connector, a collaborator, a catalyst, and an advocate for change. For 40 years and in more than 40 countries, we help communities forge new paths to prosperity in the face of disaster, poverty, and the impacts of climate change.

In every community where we work, we connect people to the resources and opportunities they need to build strong, stable livelihoods that can withstand future challenges.
