UW Initial Proposals
Article XX: Classification and Reclassification
The Employer proposed an article that is based on the similar article in the SEIU 925 – Continuum College contract with one notable difference to indicate that position reviews would be submitted directly to the UWHR Compensation Office.
Article XX: No Strike/Lockout
The Employer proposed an article that is identical to the same titled article in the SEIU 925 – Continuum College contract.
SEIU 925 Advisers – Counter Proposal
Job Classification Structure
In response to the Employer’s July 22 initial proposal on job profiles and class series, the Union countered with a simplified five-level Advising Staff structure where the job series would consist only of the job profiles Advising Staff 1-5. In the Union’s proposal, Advisers in the Advising Staff 1 job profile would automatically move to the Advising Staff 2 job profile after a maximum of two years in the original position.
Next Steps
The next UW & SEIU 925-Advisers bargaining session is scheduled for October 21, 2026, and will be held in-person.
