CLASS SERIES CONCEPT
Within Continuum College, lead and coordinate projects that support institutional goals, program development, and operational improvement. Manage timelines, resources, and stakeholder engagement across diverse functional areas.
If the primary focus is to coordinate continuing education programs, focusing on the operational aspects, then a Continuing Education Coordinator job profile may be more appropriate.
BASIC FUNCTION
Perform routine project management duties in support of general academic, administrative, or operational initiatives. Coordinate project activities, timelines, and deliverables under the guidance of senior staff. Support stakeholder communication, documentation, and tracking to ensure successful project execution.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
Under general supervision, provide project management support for small-to-medium sized projects or components of larger initiatives. Exercise independent judgment in interpreting and applying rules and regulations consistent with project goals.
TYPICAL WORK
Responsible for coordinating projects and logistics, such as meetings, visits or tours.
Maintain documentation relating to project operations, establishing and managing record keeping systems.
Support communication across teams, responding to a variety of questions and addressing and resolving operational issues.
Develop and maintain project schedules. Track milestones and monitor progress, ensuring successful project execution.
Serve as a point of contact with stakeholder and assist in enhancing engagement.
Facilitate meetings, including scheduling, coordinating venues, summarizing meeting notes and communicating next steps.
Prepare project reports and updates for senior staff to support decision making.
Identify and escalate risks or issues as needed.
Support intake or prioritization activities.
May contribute to process improvement efforts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience.
Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
CIVIL SERVICE EXEMPTION
Program Direction/Control: Managerial or professional level positions having substantial responsibility for directing or controlling program operations and who are accountable for the allocation of resources and program results.
