CLASS SERIES CONCEPT
Within Continuum College, enhance financial reporting, analysis, and planning capabilities across units with a direct impact on program results. Develop coded reports, dashboards, and visualizations that support data-informed decision-making. Integrate financial expertise with technical tools to provide insight into organizational and program-level financial health.
BASIC FUNCTION
Perform professional-level financial analysis and reporting in support of program operations. Assess financial reporting needs, identify appropriate analytic tools, and implement solutions that improve visibility into financial performance. Maintain data integrity and contribute to the development of reporting templates, dashboards, and best practices. Apply technical and analytical skills to support strategic planning, budgeting, and operational decision-making.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
Under general supervision, utilize knowledge of financial data resources to develop creative solutions to overcome reporting limitations. Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial systems and reporting tools. Apply financial acumen, technical proficiency, and collaborative problem-solving to enhance financial reporting.
TYPICAL WORK
Develop and maintain financial reporting systems, dashboards, and visualizations that directly impact program and organizational goals.
Design and administer analytic tools that automate financial statements and performance metrics.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
Provide technical support and training related to financial systems and tools.
Ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
Participate in audits and risk assessments.
Evaluate emerging technologies.
Recommend improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and user experience.
May lead or contribute to financial planning and strategic initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of relevant experience.
Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration
CIVIL SERVICE EXEMPTION
Program Direction/Control: Managerial or professional level positions having substantial responsibility for directing or controlling program operations and who are accountable for the allocation of resources and program results.
