Love dogs? Love baking? Join us on May 23 from 12 – 1 p.m. for live demonstration with the UW’s own Chef Troy at the teaching lab at Local Point in Lander Hall.

Chef Troy will demonstrate how to make tasty homemade treats for your furry friends while a representative from Summit Assistance Dogs shares their mission to create life-changing partnerships by providing highly-skilled mobility service dogs for people living with disabilities in the Pacific Northwest.

By assisting with tasks such as retrieving items, opening and closing doors, and turning switches on and off, Summit dogs help their partners live with greater independence and confidence. These companions can also help diminish depression, anxiety, and loneliness.

Spaces are limited – register today and consider making an optional payroll donation in support of Summit’s work.

We will be in person in Lander Hall (with limited seating), but you can catch the event live online if you can’t make it in person.

As an added bonus, we’ll have a dog biscuit making kits available for the first 50 people who request one. We’ll also have the recipe available for all of you.

Please join us and support the critical and life changing work of Summit Assistance Dogs!
