Quit smoking resources
Our health plans are designed to help you make and meet your health goals. If your goal is to quit smoking, we can connect you with different programs designed just for that.
Kaiser WA and Uniform Medical Plan
If you’re covered by a health plan from Kaiser WA or Uniform Medical Plan, you can enroll in the free Quit for Life Program. Whether you want counseling, nicotine replacement therapy, or just more information about quitting, the Quit for Life Program gives you the tools you need to succeed. Learn more at Quit for Life: Kaiser Permanente.
Kaiser Permanente NW
Through Kaiser Permanente NW, you can access Breathe, another smoking cessation program where you’ll discover and understand the reasons why quitting is so difficult. Breathe will help you grow confident in your decision to stop smoking (it’s also available in Spanish).
Hall Health and UW Medicine
Another resource on campus is at Hall Health. Tobacco Talk provides one-on-one counseling, educational and support groups, and real-world insights about stopping smoking.
Looking for other options? The experts at UW Medicine compiled resources to quit smoking or using tobacco (PDF), which contains community resources, toll-free hotline to help you quite, and other general information about tobacco use.
Smoking Policy
While we are a smoke-free campus, you can find the specifics of our policy, as well as designated smoking locations, by visiting the Environmental Health and Safety smoking policy page.
