DEFINITION

Lead Credentials Evaluator II’s or equivalent; and evaluate a wide variety of education credentials for academic programs.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

Positions in this class are distinguished by responsibility for performing difficult evaluation work and for coordinating the activities or assigned Credentials Evaluators.

TYPICAL WORK

Perform the duties of Credentials Evaluators including college transcript evaluations, referring applications to academic departments for consideration and informing applicants of acceptance or rejection;

Assign, coordinate and review work of evaluators and clerical staff;

Train evaluators and clerical staff in office procedures;

Respond to letter and phone inquires regarding student applications;

Perform related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – UW Contract Classified
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS – Classified Non-Union

High school diploma; AND two years of experience as a Credentials Evaluator, or equivalent.

Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS

A job element examination (including written, E & T and oral components) scored on the basis of job related experience training, skill, ability and other elements which are established through job analysis.
