Vision plans

Last updated: October 20, 2025

Similar to dental insurance, the UW covers the cost of vision premiums for employees and their dependents, meaning you won’t have to pay a monthly premium. Simply select a plan and enroll.

You’re eligible to enroll in a vision plan if you meet eligibility requirements for PEBB insurance. New employees must select a vision plan and enroll within 31 days from the date they are hired to avoid delayed coverage.

The chart includes side-by-side cost comparisons for various vision benefits such as routine eye exams, eyeglasses, contact lenses and LASIK surgery, including what you will pay for in-network services and the maximum amount the plans would reimburse you for out-of-network services.
