The resources on this page are designed to help unit HR administrators and hiring managers navigate Workday Recruiting, the system the University uses for staff recruiting and hiring.
In Workday Recruiting:

On-demand training sessions
The following on-demand video training sessions provide visual walkthroughs of each step of the recruiting process and helpful tips for moving candidates through the hiring journey.
Session 1
This session is Workday Recruiting 101. Start here for a comprehensive overview of the hiring lifecycle at the UW, learn what Workday Security Role(s) you’ll need to complete recruiting tasks, and how to find and act on job requisitions.

Session 2
This session dives deep into job requisitions, explaining the three different types of job requisitions (standard, confidential and evergreen) and how to create and post your own job requisition.

Session 3
In this session, explore each step of the Job Application business process, including how to review candidate applications and resumes, screen candidates, assign interviewers, check references, make offers, and initiate background checks.

Session 4
This final session is all about the applicant experience, providing insight into how candidates find and apply for roles (both as external and internal candidates) and what tasks candidates will need to complete (including the sexual misconduct disclosure form and background check) as they move forward through the hiring process.
