Consider nominating staff who make extraordinary contributions to UW for a Distinguished Staff Award or a David B. Thorud Leadership Award. Both awards accept nominations from early October through mid-December. Find nomination criteria and see past recipients on the Distinguished Staff Award or a David B. Thorud Leadership Award websites. When the awards are open for nominations, you will find the Nominate button on the websites to start your nomination.
These awards are part of the UW’s Awards of Excellence and are not impacted by the spending pause put into effect in March 2025.
