Assessment of the Massachusetts Subsidized Child Care System, Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care, 2013-Present
Leading the lean business process improvement component of the assessment of Massachusetts subsidized child care system. Working with department leadership to define the scope of services and value provided to customers in order to identify opportunities to provide more value and reduce waste. The outcome of the process improvement will be to more efficiently and effectively serve children in subsidized child care, and their parents who are working or preparing to work.

Lean Transformation Project – County of San Mateo, CA, 2015-2017
Provided coaching, facilitation, and training for the county’s ongoing Lean transformation project, including working with staff at all levels of the agency to identify, design, and demonstrate improvements to the value the agency creates for its customers; facilitation of events for problem identification, work visualization, and process improvement; and training staff in Lean principles.

Traumatic Brain Injury/Hard to Serve Study – Colorado Brain Injury Collective and Colorado Department of Human Services, 2017
Conducted statewide assessment of available services for hard to serve individuals experiencing brain injury and provided recommendations on addressing identified gaps and barriers. Provided data analysis and facilitation. Research included analysis of extant data, online survey, key stakeholder interviews, web-based surveys, and community forums.

Software Consultation – University of Texas at Austin 2017
Provided on-site engagement with staff and leadership of the McCombs Information Solutions Team to discuss and share best practices for software product planning, development, and maintenance.

Leadership and Development Training – Boulder County, CO, 2016
Koné Consulting provided a series of customized training for Boulder County’s Department of Housing and Human Services. The training relied heavily on our Lean services and curriculum.

Work Support Strategies Initiative (WSS) – Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP), 2010-2016
As a long-term contractor, Koné Consulting provided research, analysis, technical assistance, IT development and support for this multi-year Ford Foundation funded project, helping states effectively integrate and streamline health and human services programs.
