CLASS SERIES CONCEPT

Wash and clean windows and door glass at all levels of building interior and exterior.

BASIC FUNCTION

Perform window washing duties at heights regularly above 35 feet. Wash and clean windows (inside and outside), using ladders, window jacks, other power tools; constructing and working with spider scaling/swing-stage equipment, safety belts, tucker and extension poles, power hoists, hydraulic (i.e., "Genie") lifts, etc. in populated areas.

Second-level class of series. Perform window washing duties at heights regularly above 35 feet.

TYPICAL WORK

Regularly wash windows and perform related duties above 35 feet;

Wash and clean windows (inside and outside), using ladders, window jacks, other power tools; constructing and working with spider scaling/swing-stage equipment, safety belts, tucker and extension poles, power hoists, hydraulic (i.e., "Genie") lifts, etc. in populated areas;

Ensure that all descent and safety equipment and rigging is in satisfactory condition, including making regular safety checks (with safety checklist);

Follow pre-approved fall-protection plans for each work site (building or wing);

Provide protection of university staff, students, and visitors near work site, including erecting barriers and erecting a mechanism to redirect traffic around work site;

Remove paint, stain, and dirt from glass surfaces;

Move and replace furniture, fixtures, and equipment to gain window access;

May perform duties of Window Washer 1; and

Perform related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

One (1) year of experience in window washing or six (6) months experience working at heights of building exteriors.
