Prepare and serve food and beverages and clean work area.
BASIC FUNCTION
In Student Life: Housing and Food Services, prepare orders, transport, set-up, and serve catered events.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
Under general supervision, perform a variety of duties in the preparing and delivery of catering orders including transport and set-up for small and large events.
TYPICAL WORK
Review catering orders and perform or assign the tasks necessary to fulfill the order;
Prepare/gather food, beverages, and supplies for orders;
Coordinate with culinary staff and load orders on carts for transport; Deliver catering orders to events and set up according to the order specifications;
Participate in the plating and serving of food at events to guests;
Collect and clean up after catering events returning items to catering kitchen;
Account for alcohol and store according to established policies;
Ensure delivery truck is clean, in working order and ready for the next delivery;
May prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktail mixes;
May serve as a bartender at events;
May assist in orienting and training new staff; and
Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of, or eligible to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card and Class 12 Liquor License within two weeks of employment, one year of related experience in catering and customer service,
AND
Possession of Washington State Driver's License.
