Courtesy Appointment

Individual is invited to UW to teach or do research but is not appointed as regular Faculty and receives no compensation for time spent in teaching, etc. The courtesy appointment is authorized by the affiliated department and allows the individual access to UW facilities in recognition of unpaid services in teaching and research programs.

Examples of Courtesy Appointment: Volunteer teaching, community doctor, etc.
