Stipend With Benefits

Monthly payment to a registered UW graduate student from a source that provides a stipend.

Stipends are payments other than wages. Not reported on W-2 and no taxes are withheld.

This earn type is eligible for Graduate School Insurance (GSI) benefits. Eligibility is based on payment of at least $800 per month for 5 out of 6 consecutive pay periods. (See STP if less than $800.)
