Together We Will Awards

While we believe the true honor is the nomination itself, the selection committee is excited to award $1500 to up to 20 of the most outstanding nominations. Nominations will be evaluated first to ensure the nominee meets baseline eligibility criteria and then rated using the rubric below.

Baseline eligibility criteria

  • Nominee is currently employed by UW in a contract-covered, classified non-union, or professional staff position with a 50% or greater regular appointment.
  • Nominee has been employed at UW for a minimum of six months as of November 1, 2020.

Basis for ratings

  • Nomination cites work related to the pandemic and the resulting financial crisis, the pivot to remote work and online learning and programming, and/or anti-racism work and supporting Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) and other marginalized communities.
  • Nomination includes specific examples of the nominee’s excellence in responding to the events of 2020 and illustrates the impact that staff member has made to the UW community.
