The University of Washington Children\u2019s Center (UWCC) at Harborview offers year-round full-time care to infants, toddlers, preschool and Kindergarten prep and is operated by Bright Horizons. Visit their website<\/a> to learn more about the Bright Horizons childcare approach, staff ratios, nutrition plans, and to see photos. You can also contact them directly to schedule a tour.<\/p>\n

Eligibility and priority for UWCC at Harborview is detailed in APS 51.1<\/a> and outlined below along with enrollment capacity, monthly tuition rates and location details.<\/p>\n

Priority<\/h4>\n

Level 1: Siblings of children currently enrolled at this childcare center<\/p>\n

Level 2: Children of Harborview employees with “critical hire\/retention” priority (requires the recommendation by appointing authority and approval by the Vice President for UWHR).<\/p>\n

Level 3: Children of UW employees who work at Harborview in PEBB benefits-eligible appointments that are half-time or more.<\/p>\n

Level 4: Children of University employees with PEBB benefits-eligible appointments who work half-time or more.<\/p>\n

Level 5: Children of all other types of employees who have a University appointment of half-time or more, but are not PEBB eligible.<\/p>\n

Level 6: Children of University students who are enrolled appropriately for their degree program.<\/p>\n

Level 7: Children of full-time employees of the contracted childcare vendor.<\/p>\n

Getting on the wait pool<\/h4>\n

To add your family to the wait pool for this UW Children’s Center location, go to the Bright Horizons Family Information Center<\/a>. There is a $25 wait pool fee per family.<\/p>\n
