Dealing with finances is often complicated, tedious and stressful. Make things easier on yourself with guidance from a financial coach. Call UW CareLink and they will talk with you about your specific situation and schedule a phone appointment for you with one of their in-house financial experts. Topics include:
- Budgeting, retirement and estate planning
- Financing for college
- Tax and real estate questions
- Credit care and debt management
- Investment options
- Mortgages, loans and refinancing
What to expect when you call CareLink about financial support
When you call to arrange financial advice through CareLink, you can expect your guidance counselor to be patient, attentive, professional and kind. They should actively try to connect you with a financial counselor that meets your needs and criteria.
- You can access this service 24 hours a day, seven days a week, although your consultation will generally be scheduled during normal business hours.
- You can get a referral to a financial planner in the community, but there is no fee discount.
- CareLink financial counselors can provide general financial support but don’t have specific knowledge about your UW retirement plan or benefits.
Schedule time with TIAA or Fidelity to get personalized financial counseling from someone who knows your UW retirement benefits.
