{"id":299,"date":"2020-09-10T15:16:41","date_gmt":"2020-09-10T22:16:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/vphr\/?page_id=299"},"modified":"2023-10-12T10:38:41","modified_gmt":"2023-10-12T17:38:41","slug":"emergencyfund","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/vphr\/emergencyfund\/","title":{"rendered":"COVID-19 Employee Emergency Fund"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In June 2020, the UW community came together to show its support for one another by establishing the UW COVID-19 Employee Emergency Fund to help eligible employees experiencing critical, temporary and unforeseen financial hardships due to COVID-19. When the fund was created, it was scheduled to remain in place until contributions were exhausted, or the declaration of Washington\u2019s State of Emergency expired.<\/p>\n<p>On Sept. 8, 2022, Governor Inslee ended the state of emergency on Oct. 31, 2022 and so the UW COVID-19 Employee Emergency Fund closed as well.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to our generous donors, the UW COVID Employee Emergency Fund was able to help UW employees and their families from across the UW community.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other financial resources<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/thewholeu.uw.edu\/financial-wellness\/\">Get financially fit with the Whole U<\/a> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Looking for home loan, housing, credit union, discounts, or financial education and retirement seminars?
