You will still be responsible for any portion of your benefits that you normally pay.<\/p>\n<h4>Benefits when FMLA leave is exhausted<\/h4>\n<p>Once your 12 weeks of FMLA is exhausted, if you are going to be absent from work for a full calendar month, the University will continue paying its portion of your health insurance if you remain in pay status for at least eight hours that month.<\/p>\n<p>To remain in pay status, you must do one of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work at least eight hours<\/li>\n<li>Use at least eight hours of accrued time off (e.g., sick, vacation, discretionary, compensatory time off; holiday credit; or personal holiday)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How to continue your benefits coverage while on FMLA leave.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":49,"featured_media":0,"parent":67,"menu_order":50,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_lmt_disableupdate":"no","_lmt_disable":"no","footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-80","page","type-page","status-publish","format-standard","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
