Possible pay continuation options include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sick time off<\/li>\n<li>Vacation time off<\/li>\n<li>Personal holiday<\/li>\n<li>Compensatory time off<\/li>\n<li>Holiday credit<\/li>\n<li>Discretionary time off<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You may also have the option to take unpaid time off.<\/p>\n<p>If you are a contract covered staff employee, check your <a href=\"http:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/labor\/unions\">collective bargaining agreement<\/a>\u00a0to determine if you must use types of paid time off in a particular order.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Shared leave<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>If you don\u2019t have enough accrued paid time off, you may qualify for the <a href=\"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/time-absence\/staff-leaves\/shared-leave-options\/\">Shared Leave Program<\/a>.
