This pilot introduces a new way to access learning at the University of Washington right inside the Workday system you already use.<\/p>\n<p>Implementation is continuing this summer with the following programs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/pod\/welcome-day-orientation\/new-employee-orientation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong> Welcome Day<\/strong><\/a> new employee orientation<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/talent\/onboarding\/required-training-for-hiring-authorities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Inclusive and Compliant Hiring Practices at UW<\/strong><strong>: A Guide for Hiring Authorities<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why-Workday-Learning\"><\/span>Why Workday Learning<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Workday Learning will eventually become UW\u2019s enterprise learning management system for all employees. Use the following instructions to register or enroll an employee into a course available in Workday Learning.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Log into <strong>Workday<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>In the <strong>Search<\/strong> field, enter the <strong>course title<\/strong> (e.g., Welcome Day)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Select the course<\/strong> you want to enroll in (note: for Welcome Day, choose Online or In-person)<\/li>\n<li>On the course overview screen, select the <strong>Enroll My Team<\/strong> link<\/li>\n<li>Select an <strong>offering<\/strong>, then select the <strong>OK<\/strong> button<\/li>\n<li>On the <strong>Review<\/strong> page, complete the following:\n<ol type=\"a\">\n<li>Assign as Required Learning: No<\/li>\n<li>Workers: Select one or more employees<\/li>\n<li>Comments: Leave blank<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Select the <strong>Submit<\/strong> button<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Whats-next\"><\/span>What\u2019s next<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Workday Learning is rolling out in thoughtful stages to make sure it works well for everyone before it scales more broadly. The pilot focused on a single, federally required training, which allowed UWHR and UW-IT to validate the system, support model, and reporting.<\/p>\n<p>The project has now moved into an <strong>Adapt<\/strong> phase. Core processes, service levels, and support capacity are being established and a limited set of enterprise trainings are being brought into Workday Learning.<\/p>\n<p>A later <strong>Evolve<\/strong> phase will open the door to additional units and training programs as capacity, governance decisions, and institutional priorities allow. This paced approach helps the University deliver a consistent experience, avoid duplication across systems, and ensure teams receive the right level of support.<\/p>\n<p>If you have trainings you\u2019d like to deliver through Workday Learning in the future, email <a href=\"mailto:POD@uw.edu\">POD@uw.edu<\/a> to be added to the mailing list.
