While position descriptions outline detailed job duties for internal use, job postings are briefer and are used to attract applicants to job openings.<\/p>\n<p>At the UW, the Workday job description follows a templated &#8220;job posting&#8221; structure (found below) that supports posting consistency and ensures all requirements are met, such as those associated with <a href=\"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/talent\/hiring-process\/preparing-for-and-conducting-the-recruitment\/pay-transparency-for-postings-uwhires\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pay transparency<\/a> requirements.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>When creating a job requisition in Workday, hiring departments use the &#8220;Job Posting Text&#8221; field to draft the position advertisement.<\/li>\n<li>Your recruiting office partner will review the posting for policy compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Once reviewed and posted, the job posting will appear on the UW Careers site (and any job sites like LinkedIn and Indeed) and\/or the internal UW Jobs Hub.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"uwhr-toc-top-btn\"><a href=\"#toc\">Return to top<\/a><\/p><h4 id=\"information-automatically-included-in-workday\">Information automatically included in Workday<\/h4>\n<p>All job postings automatically include the following; therefore, you should NOT include this information in the Job Posting Text field:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pay range minimum and maximum<\/li>\n<li>Other compensation, if provided<\/li>\n<li>Benefits information<\/li>\n<li>Work shift<\/li>\n<li>Job Location (City, State or Country, State)<\/li>\n<li>If the position is temporary or regular<\/li>\n<li>FTE<\/li>\n<li>Union\/bargaining unit<\/li>\n<li>Remote work eligibility<\/li>\n<li>Introductory paragraph about the UW (for external candidates only)<\/li>\n<li>Equal opportunity employer statement<\/li>\n<li>Disability accommodation statement<\/li>\n<li>Requirement to disclose sexual misconduct<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Formatting tips:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Do not use font colors other than black.<\/li>\n<li>Do not underline words (this should be reserved for hyperlinks only).<\/li>\n<li>Anything bold in the job posting template, below, should remain in bold (for ex: <strong>About this Opportunity, Key Responsibilities<\/strong>, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"uwhr-toc-top-btn\"><a href=\"#toc\">Return to top<\/a><\/p><h4 id=\"job-posting-text-template\">Job Posting Text template<\/h4>\n<p class=\"purple beefy\">Ready to begin?
