Through all of our training, coaching, and consulting offerings, we strive to equip UW employees and organizations with the tools, methods, strategies, and inspiration to put learning into action and truly effect change.<\/p>\n<h6>Fee-based\u00a0programs and services<\/h6>\n<p>The majority of our programs and services do not receive University of Washington or State of Washington funding. To cover direct costs and operational overhead, we must charge fees for our self-sustaining programs and services:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coaching and consulting through the <a href=\"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/pod\/university-consulting-alliance\/\">University Consulting Alliance<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/pod\/organizational-excellence-and-development\/teams\/facilitation-and-training\/\">Customized training<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/pod\/strategic-leadership-program\/slp-level-2\/\">Strategic Leadership Program (Level 2)<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Various special events<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6>Supported programs and services<\/h6>\n<p>We receive funding to support administration and facilitation of the following programs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/pod\/courses-and-workshops\/new-employee-orientation\/\">In-person new employee orientation<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/pod\/strategic-leadership-program\/slp-supervisor-orientation\/\">SLP Supervisor Orientation<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/pod\/strategic-leadership-program\/slp-level-1\/\">Strategic Leadership Program (Level 1)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/pod\/courses-and-workshops\/uw-management-fundamentals\/\">UW Management Fundamentals<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"card\">\n<div class=\"card-header\" id=\"accordion-header\">\n<h3 class=\"mb-0\"><button class=\"btn btn-link\" type=\"button\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-target=\"#collapse\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapse\"><span class=\"btn-text\">Locations and parking<\/span><span class=\"arrow-box\"><span class=\"arrow\"><\/span><\/span><\/button><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"collapse\" class=\"collapse \" aria-labelledby=\"collapse\" data-parent=\"#accordion\" role=\"region\">\n<h3>POD classrooms<\/h3>\n<p>We moved! Professional &amp; Organizational Development, along with many other UWHR units, has moved to the new\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/pod\/organizational-excellence-and-development\/individuals\/leadership-quarterly\/new-year-new-space-ttm-joins-other-uw-teams-moving-to-udsb\/\">Gateway building<\/a>, which is co-located with the University District Station. Most of POD\u2019s in-person classes are now being held at our new training facility on the second floor of Gateway at 4320 Brooklyn Ave. NE.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll receive email communications from POD within a week of your class start date with details about the Gateway location and accessing our new classrooms.<\/p>\n<h3>Parking and transportation options<\/h3>\n<p>We do not provide parking for POD course participants. The POD classroom location is well-served by transit (including <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washington.edu\/facilities\/transportation\/uwshuttles\/hse\">HS Express<\/a>), and you may be able to walk or take a bus to class.<\/p>\n<p>If you choose to drive to class, there is metered street parking nearby as well as several pay lots in the area. If you have a valid UW parking permit, you may request an out-of-area permit in the UW Tower Garage (W46) by visiting a gatehouse. Please park only in designated permit holder spaces. Those with U-designator permits are allowed to park out-of-area in the W46 lot without visiting a gatehouse. Be aware that some spaces in W46 may be restricted so you will need to park in a unrestricted space to avoid being ticketed.
