Recaps are published online on the <a href=\"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/labor\/academic-and-student-unions\/uaw-postdocs\/postdoc-negotiation-updates\">UW Labor Relations website.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>UW Counter Proposals<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Article 12- <\/strong><strong>Intellectual Property and Academic Rights<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Employer countered the Union\u2019s proposal to add Executive Order 61, Research Misconduct Policy, into the article in its entirety, adding a new section stating the grievance procedure of this agreement will only apply to Executive Order 36 and Executive Order 61 in the event of dismissal or discipline of Postdoctoral scholars as a result of a misapplication the policies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UAW Counter Proposals<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Article 12- <\/strong><strong>Intellectual Property and Academic Rights<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Union rejected the Employer\u2019s counter proposal to add the new section regarding the ability to only grieve dismissal\/termination due to a misapplication of the policies and reasserted their initial proposal to add Executive Order 61, Research Misconduct Policy, into the article in its entirety.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Article 32- Wages<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In response to the Employer, the Union proposed to change the pay table from:<\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>Postdoctoral experience level<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>Minimum annual full-time salary equivalent<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>0 (0 \u2013 11 months)<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>$ 53,760<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>1 (12 \u2013 23 months)<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>$ 54,144<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>2 (24-35 months)<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>$ 54,540<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>3 (36- 47 months)<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>$ 56,712<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>4 (48 \u2013 59 months)<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>$ 58,608<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>5 (60-71 months)<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>$ 60,780<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To a new pay table:<\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>Postdoctoral experience level<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>Minimum annual full-time salary equivalent<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>0 (0-11 months)<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>$70,000<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>1 (12-23 months)<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>$72,800<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>2 (24-35 months)<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>$75,712<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>3 (36-47 months)<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>$78,740<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>4 (48-59 months)<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>$81,890<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>5 (60-71 months)<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"312\"><strong>$85,165<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Union also proposed that the new pay table would be increased by 7% annually.
