DEFINITION
Lead and participate in locker room, towel cage, equipment repair and check-out services.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
Assumes responsibility for the operation of several locker rooms and issue areas in the absence of the senior locker room attendant. Lead personnel in carrying out locker issue and repair functions.
TYPICAL WORK
Lead subordinate personnel and maintain payroll records;
Insure adherence to established policies and procedures;
Assume responsibility for issue of equipment in a manner that will ensure its safe return;
Keep a record of items issued to provide statistical information for effective purchasing;
Maintain security over keys and lock combinations;
Maintain security over the locker room and its contents;
Enforces safety policies and procedures;
May repair damaged or worn athletic equipment and supplies;
Perform related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduate or GED certificate; and one year of stockroom or equipment issue experience;
OR
Two years of stockroom or equipment issue experience.
Examination Requirements
- The examination (including written, E & T and oral components) will consist of a scored evaluation of the applicant's experience servicing locker room equipment; knowledge of athletic equipment and locker room operation; ability to maintain athletic equipment; ability to maintain locker room towel cage and student game areas; and capability to lead attendants and students.
