{"id":191,"date":"2020-07-01T01:52:52","date_gmt":"2020-07-01T01:52:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/diversity\/?page_id=191"},"modified":"2025-12-18T11:12:27","modified_gmt":"2025-12-18T19:12:27","slug":"nondiscrimination-and-harassment","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/diversity\/dei-related-employment-policies\/nondiscrimination-and-harassment\/","title":{"rendered":"Nondiscrimination and harassment resources"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last updated: December 18, 2025<\/p>\n<p>University of Washington Executive Order No. 81 and collective bargaining agreement nondiscrimination articles are in place to support an inclusive and equitable work environment for all employees.<\/p>\n<h4>Policies<\/h4>\n<h5>Executive Order No. 81<\/h5>\n<p>In order to promote an environment that fosters respect for all members of the University community, <a href=\"https:\/\/policy.uw.edu\/directory\/po\/executive-orders\/eo-81-prohibiting-discrimination-harassment-and-sexual-misconduct\/\">EO No. 81<\/a> prohibits discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct, and retaliation. Please refer to EO No. 81 and the Civil Rights Compliance office for the University&#8217;s official <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washington.edu\/civilrights\/policies-and-guidance\/statement-of-nondiscrimination\/\">statement of nondiscrimination<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h5>Title IX<\/h5>\n<p>The University of Washington prohibits sex discrimination and sex-based harassment in any education program or activity that it operates. Individuals may report concerns, make complaints, or direct inquiries to the Title IX Coordinator. Please refer to the University&#8217;s official <a href=\"http:\/\/uw.edu\/titleix\/title-ix-notice\/\">notice of nondiscrimination under Title IX<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h5>Collective bargaining Discrimination is Illegal&#8221; notice and other posters to inform applicants and employees of the contractor\u2019s nondiscrimination and equal opportunity obligations.
