UWHR is working on additional DEI tools, resources and training. Here is what is what we are working on to support the UW community:
- Diversity data dashboard – Baseline data about applicants for staff positions and employee demographics to inform your recruiting and hiring processes. This information will be especially helpful in understanding the diversity of your applicant pools for staff positions.
- Implicit bias training – While we have published content about implicit bias, we plan to build on these materials and turn this into a permanent training for hiring managers to take as a required prerequisite for UWHIRES access. This is required under the State HR Diversity Directive for institutions of higher education.
- Inclusive hiring – More materials are in the works to support building inclusive job postings and equitable interview evaluations.
