{"id":8680,"date":"2025-04-22T09:29:01","date_gmt":"2025-04-22T16:29:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/?page_id=8680"},"modified":"2025-05-09T11:14:00","modified_gmt":"2025-05-09T18:14:00","slug":"health-unit-coordinator-lead","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/classified-staff\/health-unit-coordinator-lead\/","title":{"rendered":"Health Unit Coordinator Lead"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>18079 (NE S SEIU Local 925 Non Supv)<br \/>\n23693 (NE H NI SEIU Local 925 Non Supv)<\/p>\n<p><strong>BASIC FUNCTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lead Health Unit Coordinator and other assigned staff, and perform the work of the Heath Unit Coordinator.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Under general direction, regularly assign, instruct and check the work of others, train and orient staff, provide feedback on employee performance, as well as identify and resolve problems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Participate in interviewing applicants;<\/p>\n<p>Train and orient new employees and\/or volunteers to department;<\/p>\n<p>Provide feedback to supervisor for employee performance evaluations, corrective action plans and training plans;<\/p>\n<p>Review and correct the work performed by others for compliance with established procedures;<\/p>\n<p>Schedule emergency shift assignments;<\/p>\n<p>Identify and resolve problems or unusual situations; recommend changes as necessary;<\/p>\n<p>Monitor and evaluate policies and procedures to suggest operational changes;<\/p>\n<p>Assists in the preparation and maintenance of schedules;<\/p>\n<p>Perform the work of Health Unit Coordinator<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>High School graduation or equivalent AND Three years of Health Unit Coordinator experience.<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLASSIFICATION HISTORY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>05\/01\/2025: New Class.
