Experience can include a practicum placement as part of a social work training program and\/or employment experience.<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LEGAL REQUIREMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Within 90 days of hire must hold one of the following credentials issued by the state of Washington:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Agency Affiliated Counselor, or<\/li>\n<li>Licensed Social Work Associate &#8211; Advanced, or<\/li>\n<li>Licensed Social Work Associate &#8211; Independent Clinical, or<\/li>\n<li>Licensed Advance Social Worker, or<\/li>\n<li>Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There may be instances where individual positions must have additional licenses or certification.
