BASIC FUNCTION<\/strong><\/p>\n

Clean carpets by operating a mobile, truck-mounted steam extractor and other power equipment.<\/p>\n

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Single class — no series.<\/p>\n

TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n

Clean carpets using truck-mounted steam extractors and other power equipment;<\/p>\n

Maintain activity log;
\nSchedule areas for cleaning as needed;
\nParticipate in periodic training in use of chemicals, other supplies, and in carpet and upholstery fabric cleaning;
\nMaintain inventory of equipment and products; submit reports on labor and material costs;
\nPerform minor mechanical maintenance on carpet cleaning equipment;
\nMay clean upholstery;
\nMay perform occasional custodial duties;
\nPerform related duties as required.<\/p>\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Six months’ custodial experience. A valid Washington State Driver’s License may be required. Physical ability to do required work.<\/p>\n

Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration.<\/p>\n
