Perform gamete incubation, insemination, embryo culture, cryopreservation and other techniques in human in vitro fertilization. Maintain laboratory records, assist in research, and assist in report preparation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Regularly assign, instruct and check the work of others. Under general direction, perform clinical duties in support of in vitro fertilization; record and summarize data in support of research.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Coordinate clinic and andrology schedules;<\/p>\n<p>Prepare and maintain lab equipment, order supplies, order and maintain mice, and conduct mouse embryo toxicity tests;<\/p>\n<p>Assist in orienting new residents, fellows and new clinical embryologists;<\/p>\n<p>Record data, such as procedures performed and patients seen, for research and compliance reports;<\/p>\n<p>Assist in determining and monitoring quality assurance requirements;<\/p>\n<p>Assist in preparation of laboratory reports;<\/p>\n<p>Train Embryologists and\/or others in aspects of in vitro fertilization procedures;<\/p>\n<p>Perform the duties of Clinical Embryologists;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in an appropriate field of technology or science AND two years of experience as a Clinical Embryologist.<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLASSIFICATION HISTORY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>11\/12\/1993: New Class<br \/>\n08\/01\/2001: New to CSA<br \/>\n06\/01\/2005: CSR Class Conversion<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP 18457 (NE S SEIU 925 Non Supv) 22625 (NE H NI SEIU 925 Non Supv) BASIC FUNCTION Lead the work of Clinical Embryologists and\/or others.
