Under general supervision, operate high-speed analog or networked digital copiers and perform complex duties following prescribed procedures. Operate PCs and Macintosh computers and manipulate files using a variety of software to prepare files for copying or production; work closely with clients regarding these files.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Assist Copy Center Coordinator or Supervisor with the daily operations of a copy center;<\/p>\n<p>Receive and fill copy orders from clients;<\/p>\n<p>Assist clients with networked printers at the copy center;<\/p>\n<p>Work with files from the FTP site, e-mail, or customer disk or other media;<\/p>\n<p>Inform clients on most suitable methods for transfer of files;<\/p>\n<p>Receive and fill requests for copy work;<\/p>\n<p>Scan, produce, assemble and deliver completed work;<\/p>\n<p>Operate cash register; maintain records of accounts to be charged;<\/p>\n<p>Clean, and make minor repairs to machines; report needed machine repairs and supply items;<\/p>\n<p>Keep records of production and supplies;<\/p>\n<p>May perform clerical duties;<\/p>\n<p>May operate other machines, such as digital color copy machines or small bindery equipment;<\/p>\n<p>May direct the work of others, including hourly or student employees;<\/p>\n<p>Perform the work of a Copy Center Equipment Operator 2;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>High school graduation or GED certificate plus one year of experience in a high-speed photocopy production environment.<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLASSIFICATION HISTORY\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>01\/01\/2001: New Class<br \/>\n06\/01\/2005: CSR Class Conversion<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP 17662 (NE S SEIU 925 Non Supv) 22399 (NE H NI SEIU 925 Non Supv) BASIC FUNCTION Operate high-speed copying equipment.
