Warehouse Worker"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>18555 (NE S WFSE Campuswide)<br \/>\n22681 (NE H NI WFSE Campuswide)<\/p>\n<p><strong>BASIC FUNCTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Operate light-powered equipment to move and deliver supplies, equipment and materials; perform minor maintenance and servicing of vehicles; perform warehousing duties.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Under general supervision, operate light, medium (two-axle), or one and one half ton vehicles; service vehicles, perform minor maintenance duties and perform a variety of related duties such as warehousing duties and pick up and delivery of supplies and equipment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Operate a variety of light equipment such as pick-up, forklift, pallet jacks, electric cart and passenger type vehicles;<\/p>\n<p>Pick up, deliver, and assemble as needed, a variety of items such as supplies, furniture, custodial goods, printing stock, etc.;<\/p>\n<p>Load and unload vehicles using forklift, hand truck and\/or hand carry freight and supplies to destination; inspect incoming items to verify condition; reconcile receiving\/shipping documents and purchase orders;<\/p>\n<p>Perform warehousing duties; perform minor routine maintenance on campus vehicles;<\/p>\n<p>Drive vehicles to shop or service station for servicing, washing and cleaning or major repairs;<\/p>\n<p>May assist with a variety of custodial duties;<\/p>\n<p>May pick up and deliver hazardous materials;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Physical ability to do required work AND one year of experience operating light trucks, delivery vehicles and related equipment AND possession of a valid motor vehicle operator&#8217;s license.<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLASSIFICATION HISTORY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>06\/15\/1973: New Class<br \/>\n08\/04\/1989: Revise Class<br \/>\n06\/01\/2005: CSR Class Conversion<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP 18555 (NE S WFSE Campuswide) 22681 (NE H NI WFSE Campuswide) BASIC FUNCTION Operate light-powered equipment to move and deliver supplies, equipment and materials;
