DEFINITION<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lead and work with electricians to perform journey-level electrical work.<\/p>\n

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Positions in this class are distinguished by responsibility to lead journey electricians on a project or at a job location, to instruct other assigned workers, to correct and specify methods, and to perform skilled electrical repair and installation work.<\/p>\n

TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n

Perform all duties of an electrician;<\/p>\n

Lead assigned personnel in the performance of work;<\/p>\n

Assure adherence to safety rules and precautions by assigned personnel;<\/p>\n

Develop preliminary cost estimates for installation and repair;<\/p>\n

Develop methods and procedures to be followed by assigned personnel;<\/p>\n

May perform work in other trades;<\/p>\n

Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n

One-year, full-time experience as a journey electrician or equivalent trade skill. Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license may be required.<\/p>\n

Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration.<\/p>\n
