BASIC FUNCTION<\/strong><\/p>\n

Supervise ECG Technologists and related staff; oversee technical aspects of the ECG laboratory and patient treatment.<\/p>\n

Distinguishing Characteristics:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Under general direction, supervise and provide technical oversight to ECG staffs performing work in the laboratory and patient treatment.<\/p>\n

Typical Work:<\/strong><\/p>\n

With delegated authority, interview and recommend selection of applicants, train new employees, assign and schedule work, act upon leave requests, conduct annual performance evaluations and recommend disciplinary action;<\/p>\n

Check equipment availability and function;<\/p>\n

Order supplies and equipment; review and evaluate new products; recommend appropriate purchases;<\/p>\n

Develop new programs and tests in coordination with physicians;<\/p>\n

Compile monthly and annual administrative reports of the ECG laboratory and patient statistics;<\/p>\n

Arrange for temporary employees to facilitate efficient functioning of the ECG laboratory;<\/p>\n

Conduct tours of the ECG and Treadmill laboratory to visiting groups;<\/p>\n

Perform the duties of the ECG Technologist 2;<\/p>\n

Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

High school graduation; two years of experience as an ECG Technologist 2 or equivalent; certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation;<\/p>\n

AND<\/p>\n

Certified by the National Alliance of Cardiovascular Technologists.<\/p>\n

Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration.<\/p>\n
