{"id":5364,"date":"2024-03-26T15:04:52","date_gmt":"2024-03-26T22:04:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/?page_id=5364"},"modified":"2025-05-06T15:04:17","modified_gmt":"2025-05-06T22:04:17","slug":"employment-training-specialist-assistant","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/classified-staff\/employment-training-specialist-assistant\/","title":{"rendered":"Employment Training Specialist Assistant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>17592 (NE S SEIU 925 Non Supv)<br \/>\n22370 (NE H NI SEIU 925 Non Supv)<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLASS SERIES CONCEPT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Provide employment assistance to adults with developmental, physical and\/or psychological disabilities by identifying and developing job opportunities in the community, placing clients into competitive employment, furnishing clients with on-the-job training in the social and vocational skills necessary to maintain employment, providing ongoing follow-up, developing natural supports at the job site, functioning as a liaison between employer and client and serving as an advocate for client needs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BASIC FUNCTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Assist others with such tasks as job development, job placement, and on-the-job training for clients with developmental and\/or other disabilities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Under general supervision, participate in job development, job placement and on-the-job training for clients with developmental and\/or other disabilities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Assist in structuring jobs to meet the specific needs of individual clients; provide analysis of each specific task and develop a daily task sequence;<\/p>\n<p>Assist in training clients placed in competitive jobs in the use of industry specific equipment and procedures; establish speed and quality performance standards required by the work place; assist clients in developing social and personal interaction skills; teach clients to use available transportation systems;<\/p>\n<p>Collect, record and graph data on client performance and progress on the job;<\/p>\n<p>Participate in decisions concerning changes in client programs, job structures or work procedures; present relevant data, observations, insights or opinions to appropriate parties;<\/p>\n<p>Interact with client networks and co-workers in a professional and responsible manner;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>High School graduation and two years of experience in human services, working with the disabled community, or business.<\/p>\n<p>Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLASSIFICATION HISTORY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>06\/01\/2005: CSR Class Conversion<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP 17592 (NE S SEIU 925 Non Supv) 22370 (NE H NI SEIU 925 Non Supv) CLASS SERIES CONCEPT Provide employment assistance to adults with developmental, [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":96,"featured_media":0,"parent":12,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_lmt_disableupdate":"no","_lmt_disable":"no","footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-5364","page","type-page","status-publish","format-standard","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
