Prepare and serve food and beverages and clean work area.<\/p>\n

BASIC FUNCTION<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lead Food Service Worker 3 staff and other assigned staff.<\/p>\n

In Student Life: Housing and Food Services, prepare orders, transport, set-up, and serve catered events or conduct the operations of a mobile food truck.<\/p>\n

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Under general supervision, perform a variety of duties in the preparation, delivery, and set-up of catering orders, or conduct the operation of a mobile food truck, or lead Food Service Worker 3 staff and other assigned staff.<\/p>\n

TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n

Review catering or mobile food truck orders and perform or assign the tasks necessary to fulfill the order;<\/p>\n

Prepare\/gather food, beverages, and supplies for orders;<\/p>\n

Coordinate with culinary or dining staff and load orders on carts for transport; Deliver catering orders to events and set up according to the order specifications;<\/p>\n

Ensure inventory of ingredients and supplies are sufficient each day;<\/p>\n

Participate in the plating and serving of food at events to guests;<\/p>\n

Collect and clean up after catering or dining events or shifts, returning items to designated kitchen;<\/p>\n

Account for alcohol and store according to established policies;<\/p>\n

Operate and re-fuel large delivery or food trucks according to University policy, including daily maintenance of clean and grey water tanks. Report any equipment failures or service indicator lights immediately to unit management.<\/p>\n

Operate motorized equipment, including pallet jacks, freight elevators and truck lift gates.<\/p>\n

Lead Food Service Work 3 staff in food preparation, serving and\/or sanitization for medically vulnerable populations or with special attention to food allergens and cross-contamination.<\/p>\n

May prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktail mixes;<\/p>\n

May serve as a bartender at events;<\/p>\n

May assist in orienting and training new staff; and<\/p>\n

Perform the duties of Food Service Worker 1, 2, and 3;<\/p>\n

Perform other duties as assigned.<\/p>\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Possession of, or eligible to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card and (if required) a Class 12 Liquor License within two weeks of employment, one year of related experience in catering or dining and customer service,<\/p>\n

AND<\/p>\n

Possession of Washington State Driver\u2019s License (if required).<\/p>\n

Equivalent education and\/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and\/or registration.<\/p>\n
