{"id":5305,"date":"2024-03-26T14:35:24","date_gmt":"2024-03-26T21:35:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/?page_id=5305"},"modified":"2025-05-09T10:59:58","modified_gmt":"2025-05-09T17:59:58","slug":"glazier-lead","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/classified-staff\/glazier-lead\/","title":{"rendered":"Glazier Lead"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>18841 (NE S WFSE Trades)<br \/>\n22833 (NE H NI WFSE Trades)<\/p>\n<p><strong>DEFINITION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lead and work with glaziers using journey-level skills in working with glass.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Positions in this class are distinguished by the responsibility to lead journey glaziers, to assign work at a project or job location, to instruct other assigned workers, to correct procedures and specify methods, and to perform skilled work in the glazier trade.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Perform all duties of a glazier;<\/p>\n<p>Lead assigned personnel in the performance of work;<\/p>\n<p>Assure adherence to safety rules and precautions by assigned personnel;<\/p>\n<p>As required, develop preliminary cost estimates for installation, construction, and repairs;<\/p>\n<p>As required, develop methods and procedures to be followed by assigned personnel;<\/p>\n<p>May perform work in other trades;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One-year, full-time experience as a journey glazier or equivalent trade skill.
